Welcome to Qigong 7-Day Challenge

Some Important Information

Guidelines for the 7-minute Qigong for 7 days Challenge

🌿Are the exercises suitable for everyone?

Like any form of exercise, it's important to only take part if you feel well.

Everything in this challenge is an invitation: move gently, and listen to your body. Take breaks as required, and adapt or stop exercises as necessary.

If you have any health concerns, please check with your healthcare provider before taking part. Participation is at your own pace, and Qigong with Nicky / Wuji Wellbeing UK cannot be held liable for any injury.

🌿 Are there any precautions I should be aware of?

Tapping Movements

Some sessions include gentle tapping movements to support the flow of energy, blood, and lymph.

  • If you are currently undergoing or have recently undergone cancer treatment, or have any circulatory conditions, please consult your healthcare provider before taking part.

  • If you are pregnant, it’s recommended to wait until after the first trimester (and check with your midwife), and to avoid tapping over the abdomen.

If you need modifications for any other health conditions, please seek advice from your healthcare professional.

🌿 Do you need to be outside to practice qigong?

No, I love practicing Qigong outdoors and barefoot where possible-it really helps me feel grounded and connected to nature, but it's not essential.

You can practice anywhere and wear whatever makes you feel comfortable

Practice at home, in the garden, or even by a window or near houseplants to bring a little of the outdoors in.

No special equipment is needed-just ensure you have enough space to move your arms freely. A stable chair can also be helpful for balance.

🌿Are there seated options available?

Yes, please watch the seated guidelines video here: https://youtu.be/2TTwWs7IHTc

🌿Do you need to be barefoot to get the benefit?

No, do what feels good to you. Some prefer barefoot, others a supportive shoe; everyone is different.

🌿Should I play some music

It’s completely personal whether you’d like to play music. If you do, I recommend something calming like Tao of Healing by Dean Evenson (available on Spotify), or anything with a similar feel.

🌿Drink plenty of water

Qigong supports rebalance of the bodies systems so its a good idea to drink plenty of water during and after practice.

“I felt so light and peaceful at the end of the day, almost like I was floating home. It was such a treat — I’m really looking forward to future events and can’t recommend these days enough if you’re looking for some self-care, especially with a caring and skilled team. Thank you!”
